Studied at the Royal Academy Schools and the London School of Photo Engraving and Lithography. First commissioned illustration was to engrave the title page of her brother, Christopher Hassall’s book of poems, Devil’s Dyke. Has illustrated many of the English literary classics. Awarded an OBE in 1987.
