Born 1552. Died 1637 - English scholar.
Studied medicine at Trinity College, Cambridge. Practised in Coventry but spent much of his time translating. His best known translations are of Pliny the Elder's Natural History, Plutarch's Moralia, Xenophon's Cyropaedia, and William Camden's Britannia.
