Born 1934 - English boxer.

Amateur Boxing Association light-heavyweight champion in 1952 & 1953 before turning professional. Won British heavyweight title in 1959, lost the title in 1971 to Joe Bugner. Floored Muhamed Ali in 1963 though went on to lose the fight. Retired in 1971. Appeared regularly on television and published several books on boxing. Knighted in 2000.
