Marghanita Laski was a writer across numerous disciplines. She wrote comic and satirical along with more serious novels, literary biographies of Austen, Kipling and Eliot, a play, and religious and psychological studies. At the same time she contributed to many newspapers and magazines, was a regular radio show panellist in the 1950s and 1960s, and it is thought she may have been the most prolific contributor ever to the OED.
