Specialised in heptathlon. Won gold medals in Commonwealth Games (1994), European and Commonwealth Championships (1998) and Olympic Games (2000). Won silver in World champs in 1997 and 1999. Bronze in 1996 Olympics. Awarded MBE in 1999.
