After a brief career in British ‘B’ movies and some television work Jackie Collins (sister of actress Joan) found her real vocation in life as the writer of steamy best-sellers including The World is Full of Married Men, and The Stud, many of her books subsequently filmed. She has a knack of turning out books people want to read, and a personal fortune estimated to be over £50 million as a result.
