Victoria Coren is at once fascinating, amusing and annoying. Clearly extremely intelligent – shown to devastating and profitable effect in her poker skills, and underscored with a first from St John’s College, Oxford - and with a sense of humour that comes out best in her writing, she is also a frequent presence on TV and radio, where her abilities sometimes prove less spectacularly entertaining. Coren (now Coren Mitchell) is undoubtedly creative too, witness an attempt to make an interesting and humorous porn film, documented in the book Once More, with Feeling.
