Manchester Grammar School alumnus Chris Addison studied English Literature at the University of Birmingham before trying his hand at stand-up, the rest of his tall lean body joining later. He has made several well-regarded appearances at Edinburgh’s Fringe, written and starred in a variety of radio comedies, become a regular face on TV panel shows, most notably Mock the Week, and acted in political satire The Thick of it (and the movie version In the Loop).
