Jamie Baulch was a sprinter of great ability who focussed on the 400m, the highlights of that career being a gold (upgraded from silver in 2010 after drug revelations about one of the American team that finished before the Brits) at the 1997 world indoor championships, silver as part of the British 4x400m relay team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and two golds in the same relay event in the European championships in 1998 and 2002. Since his running career ended he has worked as a coach, set up a company handling major sports personalities, and another that works to promote sports in schools.
