Born in Muswell Hill of Ghanaian heritage, Ozwald Boateng switched from computer studies to fashion and design in his teens, and became not too many years later possibly the most influential and respected menswear designer in the country. He is famous for his suits – beautifully tailored, with clean lines, not afraid to use colour including a trademark purple, they are clothes that any man would love to own, though as he is firmly entrenched in Savile Row for his top of the range stuff most would have to settle for his ready-to-wear ranges. He has also designed clothes for many feature films and TV series.
