Born 1933 - English film actor.
Became well known in film Zulu (1963), success continued with The Ipcress File (1965), Alfie (1966) and The Italian Job (1969). Won Academy Awards for Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and The Cider House Rules (1999). Awarded CBE in 1992 and knighted in 2000. Published his autobiography What’s it all About? In 1992.
