Born 1941 - Enlgish cookery writer and broadcaster.

Left school at 16. Began writing for Daily Mirror magazine in 1969 and London Evening Standard in 1972. Achieved popularity and success with her first cookery book How to Cheat at Cooking (1973). Committed Christian also writing religious books. Major shareholder in Norwich City Football Club. Awarded OBE in 1995.
