John Wallis

Died on 28th of October 1703
Born 1616. Died 1703 - English mathematician.
Studied at Cambridge and took holy orders. In 1649 became Savilian Professor of Geometry at Oxford. Wrote on numerous mathematical subjects as well as theology and teaching of the deaf and dumb. One of the founders of the Royal Society.
