Born 1925 - English comic actress.
Graduated from RADA. Worked in revues, musicals and pantomimes. Success with radio series Take It From Here (1953-60). Professional association with Terry Scott including Terry and June (1979-87). Film appearances include Carry on Nurse (1959) and Bless This House (1973). Recently appeared in television series Absolutely Fabulous. Made CBE in 1998.
