The Markinch Highland Games are always held on the first Sunday in June in the towns John Dixon Park, events include Pipe Band contest, Solo Piping, Highland Dancing, Athletics, Heavy Events, Cycling, Drum Majors. Stalls Sideshows, Trade Stands, Fun Fair.
