Another long standing traditional Fire Festival is the burning of a Tar Barrel in Burravoe each year in late December. A barrel is pulled by locals to Burravoe Hall where it is set light to, accompanied by a fireworks display.
Everyone then reitires to the hall for refreshments and music.
