The Folk Festival is promoted by the Upton upon Severn Folk Dance and Song Society

In the main marquee there will be concerts from excellent acts, some household names others recent discoveries by our Artistic Director. There will be top quality Ceilidhs on Saturday and Sunday and more casual dances throughout the weekend. In addition we will have more informal concerts in various places and Folk Clubs have been asked to run their usual thing in Upton. Daytime workshops will be held for both mundane and arcane folk related skills.

Upton is blessed with ten licensed premises plus a boat with a bar, all of which welcome the folk community for informal and organised sessions. The camp site, only open to festival ticket holders, is on the edge of the town, about 2 minutes away from the action. It offers showers, "posh" toilets and a club house for late night sessions.

There will still be masses of Morris Dancers, stalls, juggling and other activities on the river bank, plus a "Percussive Dance Arena" where you will be able to appreciate the talents of Clog, Step, Appalachian, Rapper and other performers with noisy feet.
