Golden Cap, Dorset
Golden Cap is located on the Dorset Coast and is part of the only
natural World Heritage Site in England, the Jurassic Coast. The
highest point on England’s south coast, Golden Cap lies between
Bridport and Lyme Regis. The site forms part of the Jurassic Coast and
is owned by the National Trust. Golden Cap is 191 meters high and
offers spectacular views from the coastal path which gives a 30 minute
walk to the top. There are many fossilised ammonites and belemnites to
be found at Golden Cap, and the site is home to a rich variety of
wildlife in the rock pools below the cliffs.
