Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire
The Vale of Pewsey is in an area located in the county of Wiltshire, England. The vale is part of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is surrounded by the chalk downs of Salisbury Plain and Marlborough Downs. The highest point in the Vale of Pewsey is Milk Hill, which stands at 295 meters above sea level. A large collection of Roman Coins was found in the Vale, near the village of Wilcot. The coins, which were dubbed the Stanchester Hoard, are now displayed in the Wiltshire Heritage Museum in Devizes.
