Review of Ormskirk by sue on February 25th, 2007
Having spent a recent Saturday morning browsing the shops in Ormskirk and taking a glance inside the chapel gallery (always meant to, never quite got round to it- some interesting displays and lovely unusual gifts and greetings cards) we decided to head for lunch. Settled on the the left bank restaurant on Burscough Streeet which proved to be an excellent lunchtime choice.
The restaurant is light and modern in decor and although fairly busy at the time we arrived the sevice was very efficient.I was soon settled at a window table enjoying a large glass of pinot grigio whilst studying the very reasonably priced menu. Me and ny partner then shared a cheesy garlic bread starter whilst awaiting a tomato and bacon pasta dish (him) and a sun dried tomato stuffed chicken breast with black puddings and vegetables(me). Both meals were delicious and the bill which included a large glass of wine and two bottled beers came to an incredible seventeen pounds! A definite lunchtime winner.
