Essex Reports
Review of Great Yeldham by Marina on June 6th, 2012
If you are looking for good marriage omens in your wedding venue then Great Yeldham has a particularly fine one to offer: in the heart of the village stands the Great Oak, a tree that was noted in the Domesday Book. That is endurance, or steadfastness if you prefer, a characteristic that few marriages can do without at some point. This is a very different Essex to the TOWIE cliché, a rural spot with fine farmland surrounding the village. And here’s another good omen for your future: the lovely River Colne begins nearby, making its way to greater things from this starting point, as we are sure you and your partner will also do.
Review of Great Yeldham by John Waller on May 6th, 2010
63 years old born in Chelmsford June 1946 and brought up in Gt Yeldham. I joined the Royal Navy in Nov 1963 and on retirement from the Navy settled in Somerset close to RNAS Yeovilton at which I served. Married in 1968 to a Yeldham girl I like looking at any site connected with the village and have relations still living there. These Yeldham sites bring back many happy memories.Nice to know the Three Bottles is still going The Oak which was opposite the Waggon and Horses closed a few years ago.
Thank you
