Umberleigh, Devon

Review of Umberleigh by David Skilton on October 13th, 2007
We visited Umberleigh and found the river walks very pleasant. The Antiques Emporium next to the Tack Shop was a real find. After our walk we stopped at Gables Tea Rooms, which has the most delicious home made Cream Teas, and a new Art and Craft Gallery. This area is a great base to explore all the hidden Villages of North devon. David

Review of Umberleigh by Frank Adey on October 2nd, 2007
A small country village, with lovely countryside views and walks by the River Taw (Tarka the Otter). The Tarka rail line from Exeter gives great access to the countryside with Umberleigh having it's own station. www.umberleigh-northdevon.co.uk

I have often thought what a melancholy world this would be without children, and what an inhuman world without the aged - Samuel Taylor Coleridge
