Review of Ironbridge by Gail Foster on February 3rd, 2006
Ironbridge is a freindly place to visit and to live. It has great eating places at very reasonable prices. The only drawbacks are the lack of parking facilities, and the steep hills getting to the village. Walking to Ironbridge is a problem if you're not used to walking!A really good place to eat is the White Horse pub at the top of Lincoln Hill. Lovely food and a friendly welcome.
There is plenty to see in Ironbridge and the surrounding area, The famous Ironbridge, Coalport China Works, Ironbridge & Coalbrookdale museums. A good view of the bridge can be obtained by climbing the 100+ steps up to the church from the Square! St Luke's offers a warm welcome and refreshments at Sunday 11 a.m services, and special open days which are advertised in the Square
