What a stunning lodge. Stayed their for a weekend and didn't want to leave. The staff are so friendly and helpful and give you a more personal feel to your stay. They show you to your room and serve a lovely breakfast. The rooms are so clean and our room overlooked a lovely fiel of cows. Just a short walk away from the local village and the new forest.
My favourite lodge ever much better than all these commercial hotels a lovely homely feel to it. The Indian restaurant next door is also fabulous and serves one of the best currys that i have ever tasted. Definately worth a look.

Good Points: The room was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was well fitted out and there were plenty of good quality towels provided. Despite it,s position on a busy road it was quiet in the rooms with the windows shut. Lovely countryside location. We found the position of the hotel perfect, being in easy reach of all the places we wanted to visit.
Bad Points: When trying to find the hotel, we actually drove past it without seeing it. While having a meal at nearby pub, a family came in asking where the hotel was too. There is a notice outside but it somehow gets overlooked and there appears at first sight to be only the Indian Restaurant on the site. Also the 'F' has fallen off the front so the name doesn't immediately strike you. Breakfast was good but one of the options was for 'Eggs on toast'. Most people assumed this meant scrambled eggs but were told only poached eggs were available. Could scrambled eggs not be included? The information left in the room could have included a list of local good places to eat. One restaurant is mentioned but it was not clear where it was. There are 2 excellent pubs very close.
General Review: First difficulty over finding the hotel was fairly easily overcome after going past again. Perhaps more precise directions would have removed the problem altogether.ie.'Next to the Royal Jaipur'.(maybe that might put some people off though). The room we had was pleasant and comfortable and bathroom good. Very hot water-maybe too hot for children to shower in. A lift would be great-some might struggle carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs if there was no-one on reception to help. Overall we found this hotel good value for money and would be happy to recommend it to anyone on a tight budget for a short stay.
