Good Points: Food excellent-thank the chef, staff very friendly, attentive & helpful and the overall appearance of the Inn is splendid, both inside & out.(Full english breakfast one of the best i've had, no grease or oil on plate and not under cooked). Bad Points: Bedroom rather on the basic side for a 4* hotel, furniture looked cheap & finish of the bathroom should be a higher standard, but all adequate and comfortable, after all, one dosn't spend all day in their room. General review: Great weekend.Thank you all very much.Would happily stay again.

I went for lunch after reading that this pub served good food. I ordered fish and chips; how could that go wrong? The worst meal I have had in a pub; frozen 'fries', completely tasteless; the fish batter was raw inside and oozed fat and the fish was overcooked and tasteless. On complaining the result was no apology, just we will look into it. An awful experience not to be repeated.
