Well what can I say about Strumpshaw? Having been to steam museums in the past (i.e. Thursford) I was hoping for something along those lines, Well boy was I disappointed. The signing to the attraction was poor and the entrance way was abysmal which was a deep potholed rutted track. I was wondering what we had let ourselves in for, as it did not look inviting The whole exhibit was very dirty and just seemed to have been thrown in anywhere with very little planning The floor had at some time been painted but there were tins of paint piled up scattered around the hall which looking at the exhibits they had painted around them as paint was on the wheels! The whole place gave the idea of being dirty and not cared for For example the seating was filthy with dust and muddy footprints indicating it had not been cleaned for some time. I did wonder why this did not appear on a map or on the great Yarmouth tourism attractions list but on this evidence I can fully understand why If you are interested in steam then take my advice and visit Thursford, which is in a completely different league from this tatty shambles, which I personally would be too embarrassed to open And ESPECIALLY charge for the privilege YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
