Good Points: The traditional english feel to everything. Nice bar. Breakfast was good too, staff were friendly. Warm atmosphere of the hotel. Bad Points: The wind and rain keeping me awake! But nothing you can do about that!

We arrived in the Afternoon the receptionist was smiling and very helpful as well as informative, the suite was very well laid out warm and inviting. The staff were all very helpful nothing over the four days was too much trouble for any of them. We found to drinks reasonably priced nothing above what we pay locally, with the exception of ythe wine which was a little pricy but it was good quality wine all of the drinks were well served and the Manager was very knowledgeable about the guest ales he had on sale which was a pleasant surprise, the ales were all kept well and served in a dedicated glass. The restaurant was very well appointed and we watched from the bar as the Chef's came in and before every meal discussed the menu with the waiters and made sure they knew what every dish was and what accompanied it, this was amazing it showed the depth of care being put into the preparation. the table lay out was very comprehensive. The food was superb I have eaten in many fine restaurants around the world but would rate this one among the best it has well earned it's AA Rosette. The village remains untouched by modern development and is charming with several pubs and restaurants. The one downside is the lack of mobile signal in some parts of the village. The whole break was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. There were some minor glitches, the hotels Internet server had gone down that day so there was no WiFi over the time we were there. The bar is small and the hotel popular so it was crowded and a little difficult one night to find some where to sit and talk, a dedicated residents lounge would be a good idea. The staff were wonderful throughout and I am going back again
