One of the best places we have ever stayed in. The rooms were of a very high standard and very cosy. The staff were always polite. The evening meals were more than value for money. i would recommend the duck starter. My only fault was that they did not have enough breakfast for all the guests and the sausages were not cooked.

After a long game of golf with a friend, I was very hungry and decided to have lunch at the Bell Inn, which was right by where i was playing. When i got it, it all seemed friendly enough. So i got seated at a single table. Thats when it went downhill. The barstaff seemed rude and impatient, n.

Looking for somewhere to eat at lunchtime for our party of five hungry and thirsty adults and three children we happened upon the Bell Inn. It was about half past one and lunch in the bar was in full swing with no table able to cater for us. We had ordered drinks at the bar served by a very pleasant young man with a pony tail. Another young man dressed in a black shirt and tie had looked in vain for a table to accomodate us and as he couldn't find one he asked me to wait a moment and disappeared only to reappear in a few seconds and said would we like to eat in the restaurant but still order from the bar. We were then shown into a lovely room with a table set for the eight of us. Eight delicious ploughmans lunches were bought to us plus extra bread. We felt we were treated exceptionally well by a very pleasant and capable young staff and nothing was too much trouble. Such a delight in this sometimes horrible world we live in.
