I have been here a few times and have always been impressed with the food and amount you got for your money . However I went back this year and found it to have changed hands the menu was similar as before and I went for my favorite which is the pie , it came and was nice but you now get alot less for 1050 it was what I call fancy looking food with neatly stacked vegatables and a drip of gravy this is not what a walker or caver wants after a days outing. After I ate it I went for my favourite which is banoffie pie but they dont seem to do it anymore so I enquired about what the non descriptive " cheese" on the menu was which I was told was a cheese board with 5 different cheeses and crackers what came was dissapointing 3 small pieces of cheese and 5 water crackers with a bit of rocket for 5 pound I would only have paid 250 for this. Wont be going again we went to the cock at austwick the next night and it was far better.
