A bit disappointing on arrival. There is an ugly building directly opposite. The owner showed us the kitchen to help ourselves to breakfast in the morning and was either too embarrassed to show us to our room or unable to climb the narrowest staircase I've ever seen. My husband had to turn sideways to negotiate the corner to our room and he was smaller than the owner. The bed was the cherry on the cake, the floor had more give than the mattrass. Apart from that we loved our stay in Whitby and will be more careful choosing next time.
