I visited the park with my husband, our three sons (ages 9 and twins 5)and my sister in law andher partner. Whilst the wather was disappointing - it rained - the park certainly wasn't. I have visited various parks, zoos and wildlife centres and I was most impressed with Howletts. There was lots to see - when the animals eventually came out (funnily enough they came out when the sun came out!!!). The enclosures were large and I felt the animals seemed happy - I realise the animals weren't in the wild but I feel Howletts have tried and attained to emulate their environments. The animals have lots to do and are well looked after.
The park was kept clean and tidy. The plants and trees around the park were wonderous to look at. The facilities were fantastic. My childdren enjoyed having their faces painted - my eldest was a monkey and the twins were a snake and a lion!
We all thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend it to everyone - young and old.
Finally I would just like to say - watching the gorillas you have to think who is watching who - go and you will realise what I mean!
