It was a sunny day, so decided to visit Ash End House Children's Farm on the spur of the moment. It was easy to get to and ample parking. The children (5 and 6 years old) absolutely enjoyed the day. They fed the goats and sheep, sat on the most patient horse I have ever seen, held a chick and stroked the rabbits and guinnea pigs, and even took a freshly laid egg home for breakfast tomorrow. Then they had a brilliant hour on the outside playarea, only going to the inside one when it started to rain. Excellent facilities, and eating area. All was in a short distance, so not a great amount of walking. Totally recommend a visit.
