Good Points: Staff friendly and quiet hotel Bad Points: Room was tired - needed painting. Fridge was noisy and had to unplug. General review: Ideal for quiet break in rural location.

I was lucky enough to spend two nights in this lovely quirky accomodation.I stayed in the Miss Scarlet suite , the bed was extremly comfortable .The bathroom is just beautiful with an old fashioned style bath and great decor. All the staff are extremely friendly and they are happy to make your stay a pleasureable one without being fake . The locals are friendly too!. The dining room was cosy and romantic. The food, wow, a lot of selection , i had the duck which was beautiful . This is a jewel i have found in england and i plan to return and highly recommend The fox and goose as a fantastic relaxing place to stay , that i really could not find a fault with

Good Points: Friendly, helpful staff and management. Situated in good position, with lots of local places of interest to visit. Excellent breakfasts and a good bar/restaurant night menu. Bad Points: None worth mentioning really apart from the bar looking a bit tired, which we understood was being revamped shortly. General review: A very quiet and peaceful holiday stay.
