Because my job as an executive in a manchester-based company often requires me to travel to London for conferences, engagements etc, i regularly stay at the Greyhound, as in my vast experience of pubs/restaurants, it has by far the best service, friendliest staff and most charming atmosphere!
Its refurbishment a few years ago has made this place a classy, contemporary venue popular with both older regulars and adventurous students. I always feel welcome there, and each time i return my reception becomes warmer!
I would thoroughly recommend the Greyhound to anyone travelling through the area!

This place is not worth £90 a night! Firstly the chap that checked me in was not very welcoming and didn't even say what time breakfast was served, what time the bar shut or any other relevant information I might have wanted to know. We went out for a meal and didn't eat in the pub (Maliks curry house in Gerrards Cross - which is well worth a visit!) and got back to the 'Inn' at about 12.30am. We were told that we couldn't get any more drinks - we're residents so not much of a hotel service to me?!?
For £90 I'd rather stay in a Travel Inn where you know what to expect, the rooms are dark, badly laid out and the welcome was appauling.
Don't bother is my advice!
