The feathers (FUGGLES BRASSERIE) is a lovely restaurant. The decor in the Brasserie is very traditional and in keeping with the age of teh building. There are big tables to accommodate groups and children are made welcome.
We have always had a good reception at the feathers but the primary reason is the quality of the food is always outstanding.
We turned up without a booking having tried the Oak at Staplow unsuccessfully and were shown to a table straight away even though the restaurant was busy (Fri eve).
I had the scallops with a crab fritter thing and they were just so perfect abnd melt in the mouth, followed by a rump steak which was cooked perfectly (med rare which many people get wrong), and a wondeful steamed pudding. All in all yummy yummy yummy!
Three course meal for two with a bottle of wine was about £75 but worth every penny!
There is a bar adjoining which creates some noise if you want an intimate time but its great and cosy for afterwards. There is also a great beer garden outside.
