Is the centre closed? We visited on saturday and everthing seemed rather sad and neglected. If anyone is planning a visit DO CHECK IF THEY ARE STILL OPEN.

First impressions were ok. The carparking is ample. The foyer was clean. There were quite a few of the eco games either broken or not switched on, which was a bit of a shame. However going up the turbine tower was not to be missed. You need to be built like a mountain goat, as there is no lift and it is 305 steps, which go up the middle of the tower in a spiral. You have been warned. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and all the staff were pleasant. Usual tourist trinkets which were ok. Small canteen dining area which was good. The only sad part was the actual eco garden. it looked as if a gardner had not visited it for around 5 years!!!!
