I always send people to Kings Court as I KNOW the service all round is top class. If you want pub food...you get pub food.If you want al a cart'e, you get it. Accomodation is as you would expect. I can fully recommend it.

Good Points: Spacious and clean
Bad Points: The whole room smelled overpoweringly of disinfectant.
General review: It would be helpful to have a road sign to give advance warning of the turning - quite hard to find from a dark and rainy busy main road (although very clearly the right place once you are there!) We did not see the Reception entrance either so perhaps a sign on the side of the hotel would be helpful.

I booked into the Kings Court hotel as part of a wedding party. A few days before my visit I read some of the reviews and I became quite apprehensive. I should not have been. My stay was fantastic! The staff were very polite and friendly. The room was of good proportions with a very large ensuite. Breakfast, which was served from 8 till 9.30 was excellent. There was so much choice, all of which tasted lovely. I would strongly recomend this hotel to others.

Staying at the KCH before, twice, in the late 90ies, was expecting similar quality and service. Wrong! The room was far away from clean, and the bathroom was so neglected, we felt pure fear to have a shower. Mould on EVERY piece of equipment, including the showerhead and the taps. Topped up with a fat-dripping stale/cold breakfast, even the coffee got warmed up to serve the 'late' breakfast (from 7.30-9.00am) customers. The only thing which got higher than expected was the price! Won't go there again. For sure!

I visited for lunch with two friends despite the review of the food on this site. I had visited some years ago so was prepared to be disappointed. I was NOT disapppointed at all. The service was great, the food was very enjoyable and the decor was very tasteful. What the bar food was like is debateable but I could find no fault with the meal in the restaurant.

Sole Business User.
Good size, and clean room. Comfortable bed. Evening resturant was fine, attentive service. Limited choice on puddings. Cooked breakfast was fine, good coffee. Could do with a change of music in the resturant - personal choice. Very good value for money B&B rates.

The exterior of the hotel was beautiful a lovely shakespearian come 50's holiday village got us excited. When we walked through the door we were greeted with a rather vacant receptionist who's uniform was filthy we then walked into the room which also was musty the bathroom was filthy and the wallpaper looked as though it had been through the wars. We cautiously decided to stay in the hotel for dinner. I think Gordan Ramsey would have a nighmare. Two very mixed styles of restaurant. A la Carte and Bar food. we opted for bar food ordered starter and a main and was presented with deep fried filo pastry with very pretty posh decor, followed by the most classically Pub plate of steak ever. I left my visit ready to go home and shower and detox my body of greece. Stratford however was lovely
