A delightful stay with a very helpful,accomodating and friendly Proprietor and wife.Also a very good Breakfast was served in the morning,well worth a return after 28 years for a second visit as a single occupancy!Just one criticism, that there was no shower only a bath in the ensuite bathroom, but hey, you are in Market Rasen, Lincs!

My partner and I felt very un-nerved when we stayed at The Limes hotel for 1 evening. The owners of the property entered our room without our permission whilst we out for the evening. When we complained the owners said that they had every right to enter rooms to 'check' all things were in order. They told me that they enter all rooms when their guests are out! I was so nervous that we ended up sleeping with a chair proped up against the door. My concern regarding the un-authorised entry due to our private property being left in the room was questioned by the owner with 'so what did you have to hide, what were you doing in your room?' I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

General review: have used this hotel many times and find it most suitable for our purpose of visiting family.It is good value.

Best thing about the Limes? Leaving. And they had the cheeck to say that there may be disruption whilst some rooms are being decorated

Good Points: Quiet,lovely grounds,nice setting close to area of our house search.Proprietor friendly and helpful, food good.
Bad Points: Bar not well-equipped/ no draught beer. Dinner menu a bit rigid-4 courses or nothing .Would have appreciated a choice. Disappointed no shower in room.
General Review: See above comments. Overall a pleasant enough stay,but had we been staying for longer the en-suite facilities could have become an issue. Dinner was served at one specific time-guests who had been travelling around could have found this a problem.
