What a wonderful campsite! It lived up to the website pictures and was extremely clean, well kept and litter-free. We had two pitches, one for a tent and one with electric for a caravan. There was plenty of room and it was quiet, despite being next to one of the designated play areas (a small football pitch). In fact the sheep in the adjoining field probably made the most noise! All the children were well behaved and there were no undesirables or noisy neighbours. The showers and toilets were the cleanest I have ever seen and with a mop and bucket available, it was easy to keep it so. There was always plenty of hot water. The little shop was handy and the staff were very helpful. This was the best campsite we've stayed at and great value too. I would definitely recommend it to other campers.

Amazing! Despite being a 'virgin camper' I will be back and want to experience camping again. I must admit I was sceptical at first but my experience at Whitemead has made me want to camp again despite the overnight temperature being -1 where we had ice inside the tent and the water in the kettle had frozen! The wildlife was very diverse. The facilities and staff were more than first class - nothing was too much trouble. The site supremely clean and I suspect that if it did not move it was cleaned within an inch if its life. Pitches were spacious with ample room for caravans and tents alike. Shower block was modern, upto date and brilliantly clean which only shows the dedication of the staff at the site even outside the normal cleaning times of 12-2pm. Even the prices in the shop were not inflated and it stocked a very wide selection of goods. The whole site had absolutely no rubbish or litter to be seen. There are a few caravans that are on this site as a permanent fixture and their owners feel that this site is the very best for facilities and wildlife. Well done!

Beautiful campsite, excellent facilities. Shower block best we have used in a long time. All staff helpful and friendly. Delivery service for takeaway was a lifesaver on our arrival evening. We will be back.
