site sold because of health problems caravan club had the money to buy and spent very large amounts to upgrade the site you cant please all the people all of the time so told all concerned up front
to give seasonals time to find alternatives
owners can never win what ever they do and if they dare not be 100% happy or ever refuse or question anyone than we are horrible people glad iam now not on 24 hr 365 day call out thanks to most of our old customers

What a lovely site. staff very helpful. What a pity the grumpy owner sold out to the Caravanning Club instead of a private individual. The hedges have been taken down, no more tents allowed there. They will cram a few more caravans there. I hope no one goes there but I guess someone will always try it "just the once".
I was a seasonal caravanner for 4 years. Miss the place.

lovely camp site !! staff very helpful, you must have had the owners serving you if you had problems. site sold to the caravan club who are going to demolish the lovely toilet block and then take the kids play park away and build new toilets and shower block on play park !! seems that most of the hedges that are on the site will be felled so that they can cram a few more vans on there !! such a lovely place, been going there past 4 years but alas, by 1st oct no more. Thanks for selling out !!

Lovely site but unfortunately this family run touring park has sold out to the Carvanning Club. Sadly, this beautiful site will be spoilt. the wardens were extremely helpful. never saw the current owner.

Snow White was out, but grumpy was definatly in - most unwelcoming site we have ever visited. We arrived having phoned and booked to the welcome, "don't usually except bookings this time of year - can't use a pitch will have to set up on road way". BUT HE WAS HAPPY TO TAKE OUR BOOKING AND MONEY. If that wasn't enough he then refused access to my disabled father in law, who walks with two sticks with great diffuculty...on previous visits they have been allowed entrance because of his disability. Will we use again no - ad says welcoming site - it was far from!

The site is well laid out with hedges between pitches and a good sized and well equiped childrens play area.
Toilet block is clean, but the showers are press button and they stay on for about 3 seconds so a bit of a pain to use. Likewise the drinking water taps around the site conveniently placed but are also press button so filling the aquaroll was quite a long job.
The camp staff though have gone a little sign and rule mad, we had visitors on the Saturday afternoon. They arrived and parked in the visitors parking bay, and as they are non campers they started walking around looking where to go and how the site worked. Rather than being helped they were shouted at for not going straight to reception they appologised and asked for help, and received a lecture about how the site worked, and a bill for £2 each for being there. Even after they paid up the lecture didnt end. They left soon afterwards with a strange view of camping, and feeling like naughty school children
The next day the rules in the toilet block had been reprinted with the rule about visitors printed in red.
I doubt we will be going back to this site which is a shame as apart from the staff it is a good site.
