We stayed at the Hawthorn hotel for the Ironman UK and felt very much at home. The rooms are nicely equipped and clean.
The owner Seif was very friendly and helpful with all our unusual questions and problems.
The breakfast was also great, you can choose from a variety of things.
There is a big supermarket and some local shops located just down the road.

The Hawthorn Hotel is a nice and cosy family run business with a very personal touch. Expect tidy rooms and home made english breakfeast. The private atmosphere and the warm welcome you get at the Hawthorn is not to be countervailled against any five star establishment. Friendly and helpful staff and manager adds to the allover positive experience. We had a good time though it only was for a night.
