We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service was great - all the reception staff and the restaurant waitresses were all extremely helpful and polite. The entrance to the hotel was very impressive. The rooms are standard with a small bathroom - ours had a bath with a power shower. The only niggling thing was that below our 1st floor room was the entrance for where the brewery deliveries were made and boy could you hear those barrels being dropped down into the bar's cellar in the morning! Its our own fault though as we didn't complain. Apart from that it was reasonably quiet. The restaurant at the hotel was a pleasant surprise - it is nicely decorated and furnished - the a'la carte menu was quite extensive and reasonably priced. We normally dine in places outside of the hotels we stay at as they can normally be overpriced and average quality, but it is definitely worth using this hotel's restaurant - an enjoyable experience - we had a starter, a main course each plus a bottle of wine between us and a glass of port each and it came up to approx £57 - which we didn't feel was too bad at all considering the good quality of the food. They have a large bar area too that does snacks if you didn't want an a la carte meal. There is a gym and swimming pool in the hotel but unfortunately we were too busy exploring the sights to use them. Parking wasn't a problem - although it can get busy during the day with conferences being held at the hotel but it soons becomes quiet in the evenings. If we were to visit Caernarfon again I would definitely stay here.
