We finally managed to organise a return to The Three Chimneys more ten years after our first visit. To our delight, the place is, if anything, even more magical than before. Food is stunning, service second to none (special thanks to Luke, the sommelier, but everyone was really considerate & helpful) & the setting is absolutely sublime. Our room in the House Over-By was spacious, comfortable & with an indulgently enormous bathroom - even better, we could simply open our french window & walk out & across to the lochside, to watch seals, herons & sunset over the clearly visible Hebrides. Thanks to Sheila, Eddie & their top notch staff, we had some very memorable experiences (thumbs up for the trip to Rona on Spindrift from Portree - loads of Minkes & porpoise). Can't recommend The Three Chimneys highly enough. 5 stars & then some... we will return much sooner, this time round!!
