My wife and I ate in the Golf Pavillion. We had booked a table for 12:30 and arrived a few minutes early. My wife had a starter, we both had a main course and I had a dessert. This took a total of 1 hour 35 minutes. My wife's starter was a simple bowl of salad leaves with a round of warmed goat's cheese. Our main courses were chicken breast and pan fried salmon and my dessert was profiteroles. Not rocket science and no reason at all to wait 30 minutes for a starter. I also asked for a glass of beer which the waitress could not understand so I changed it to a glass of Shiraz - no luck there either as she didn't know what wines were available. I ended up with a glass of Merlot which cost me £5. There were only 6 people there when we arrived and other diners arrived and departed while we were still waiting. Definately NOT for returning!!
