As someone in the trade myself- being met with the request to have 50 guests arrive at you hotel have a few drinks, pay the extortionate room hire and be gone by 10.30am (leaving plenty of opportunity to host another Wedding that day), would be a welcome bonus!(we were hoping to marry as close to the airport as possbile then catch a morning flight out to our reception.) This was not how we were accomodated- even to the point that I was told that I couldn't book my rooms in advance as the manager hasn't decided what he was going to charge for that weekend as there wads a rugby match on in the city and he "could charge at least double his rack rates" In all this was very frustrating and neither myself nor any memeber of my family will be visiting untill we hear that new management has made some much needed improvements.

A wonderful hotel. We both had a delightful stay at this hotel. The view from the hotel, overlooking the viaduct is wonderful. The grounds are lovely to stroll around and include a croquet lawn. The staff were without exception very friendly and attentive. The food was truly sublime! Highly recommended. The only negative point was the proximity to cardiff airport. It's about a mile away but no flights during the night.

My stay was truly fabulous. On mentioning it was my birthday we had a free upgrade to a suite as the hotel wasn't too busy and a half bottle of champagne courtesy of the proprietor Richard Morgan-Price with our fantastic meal. The service was first class and the staff were an asset to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The grounds are enchanting and views from the master bedroom were exquisite of the viaduct.
