What a fantastic place!!! I have just returned from a lovely weekend with my wife after staying at this inn to celebrate our first wedding aniversary!
Travelling from Yorkshire we were rather tired upon arrival, but the welcome could not have been warmer. Set in rolling countryside the location was superb. The room was full of character and warmth and was tastefully furnished..
After relaxing for a short while we made our way to the resturant. Where we had the most amazing dinner, the staff were relaxed and friendly and made us both feel like we had been coming here for years.Jason the landlord made us especially welcome.
The pub is full of charm and character and has a unique feel that has been lost in so many pubs these days. I would recomend it to any one!
The surrounding Countryside is stunning and the pretty market town of Ludlow most worthy of a visit! We also visited near by Worcester which has great shops and a beautiful Cathedral!
My wife and I have already booked for Christmas!

As the new owner of The Peacock Inn i am wholeheartedly saddened to read these reviews. A change of ownership and style is always difficult for existing customers but i want to assure our future customers that these are isolated and deeply regretted incidents and do not reflect the many customers who are happy and return time and time again, and are exited about and involved in the changes to come.

We have just returned from the Peacock today when we were supposed to be staying over for the new years celebrations. We had booked back in August, when we had an amazing stay and couldn't wait to return for new years eve. Upon arriving today, we were told that the room we had booked had been given to a family instead and we would have to stay in another room, which was nowhere near as nice. Totally unacceptable when you have had the room you wanted booked since August! After walking around Ludlow in the rain trying to console my wife who was crying as fast as the rain, we decided that we weren't going to be treated so appaullingly. We returned to the Pacock and checked out, informing the poor barman that they had lost out on £250. The manager, Jason, wasn't there funnily enough so we just cut our losses and left. I'm now ordering a chinese back home after spending 4 hours on the road wasting time, money and effort. Our new years eve has been ruined. It is such a shame because our last visit was fantastic. I can only explain that such a dramatic decline in standards has to be laid at the feet of the new manager Jason. Keep away until it changes hands in 5 months. Gutted!

We have been 4 times and had an overnight stay at the Peacock. No complaints until this stay. Booked room 4. Arrived at lunch time, Had lunch. Ok. Room ok. Not as good as our other visits? Whats going on? Came down for evening meal and the same lunch time menu. No choice. Very disappointed. Wednesday morning NO Hot water in our room unable to have a bath/shower. Had to boil the kettle for a wash. Complained when we got downstairs. The person called Jason didn't seem to care. Never going to the Peacock again. The whole stay was terrible. Spoiled our stay.
