As we walked about Falkland during our visit to Scotland last September, we chanced on the interesting violin shop. We walked about among the many stringed instruments and were treated to a lovely guitar solo by the owner and proprietor Bob Beveridge.
An incredibly interesting person he turned out to be! Only on persuasion did we learn of his career with the police homicide squad in Glasgow.
Also we heard of his carrying an unexploded WW2 bomb from a children's walk to a disposal point.
Then he told us about his meetings with Johnny Cash and later his family
The brief visit was a highlight of our Scottish visit.

Had a lovely experience at Bob's violin shop today. He very sweetly spruced up my dad's old fiddle so it's now in tune, he's replaced some missing parts and given it a coat of oil and he threw in a new bow. It hadn't seen the light of day for about 40 years and certainly hadn't made a tune so I'm very chuffed.
