I needed somewhere to stay for a night's bed and breakfast in Alford and found the details of Half Moon hotel on the internet. I could not have found anywhere better. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the accomodation was clean and very comfortable. Waitng for my cousin to arrive I felt completely at ease in the bar and had an excellent meal. On arrival, my cousin was also warmly welcomed and a reviving drink instantly available and then they did the checking in. This was also noticeable when another late arrival appeared, the guests needs were met first and then necessary registration was completed, A great find and one I would recommend to anyone in need of a place to stay.

Have to say that the web site and photographs do not do the Half Moon justice. The staff were brilliant - Special thanks to the Chef who stayed late to make sure we had a hot meal. The Barmman who advised that we do not give our friend Red Bull before bed time! - You were so right!! Everyone was helpful and always ready with a smile. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well decorated, the carpets look brand new. Also about 16 miles to Cadwell Park - but well worth the trip! Fantastic value for money - would reccommend to anyone. Will certainly go there again! Thanks to all at Half Moon!
