I VISIT THE BLACK BOY OVING AT LEAST FORTNIGHTLY, EITHER WITH MY DOG AFTER A GOOD WALK OR WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY. WHILE I DO NOT CALL MYSELF A REGULAR, AS I LIVE TOO FAR AWAY, I AM ALWAYS GREETED WITH A SMILE AND TREATED LIKE ONE. THE FOOD, ALWAYS OF A HIGH STANDARD AND REASONABLE PRICE, IS COOKED BY THE OWNERS WHICH ALSO MAKES A GREAT DIFFERENCE. IF YOU CAN FIND IT THEN VISIT ONE OF THE BEST PUBS IN THE COUNTY YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.

This is our favourite place to eat, summer or winter; not sure i should be recommending it to everyone else for fear of not getting a table next time!
Food is great, owners are lovely and the location is quaint with the greatest views! Cosy in winter, stunning in summer, everything a pub should be!!

This is an amazing hidden place. It has stunning views over buckinghamshire in the summer. And even in the winter the warm fire place is a joy to sit infront of.
If you like big portions for good value, and you like your food cooked to perfection, i would give this a try. It wont let you down.
