Best rates for a Local Hotel

What a nice village, it has a central green used for parking on open gardens days. The gardens were spread out around the village but all reachable on foot, and well marked on the map supplied even the small gardens were a suprise with the varity of layouts and plants packed in. A large number of scarecrows were on show but they did not seem to follow a theme or if they did then I missed it! The village hall served food and teas etc but for me the menu was limited as I do not eat red meat, the local Church also had cream teas etc. Everone was friendly and made us feel welcome, with the weather sunny a very nice day's visit.

Dave & I spent a glorious afternoon 'nosing' around the villagers gardens during the summer of 2008. We were so impressed with all the gardens & enjoyed taking numerous ideas & themes home with us. We look forward to visiting again this year especially as there will be even more to admire than last time.

Good Points: both the room and the hotel were very clean ,comfortable and well equipped Bad Points: the gym equipment could do with updating, and the bar prices were very restrictive(5.50 for a malibu and coke!)if the prices were more in line with prices in the city bars we would have stayed in the hotel drinking rather than going out. General Review: aside from the above comments, we were very happy with our stay, it was good value and the buffet breakfast was lovely.
